We can divide the natural shades of wool into whites, browns and greys.

The wool we call white usually has an
ecru or creamy colour. One 'white' sheep's colour can be a much yellowier shade than the other. |

These scheep have wonderful silvery grey fleece, with very light shades interspersed with a darker grey or greyish brown. This gives a very lively hue when it is spun. |
